My name is Philip Kotler, and I have dedicated much of my life to advancing the study of marketing from both academic and professional perspectives. At 93, I am deeply honored that Kotler Impact and its owner/CEO have honored my legacy by associating my name with the Essentials of Marketing textbooks and the Kotler Impact Business School (KBS). It has always been my dream to provide broad-based and affordable educational opportunities in marketing to people worldwide. Throughout my career, I have witnessed the success of Kotler Impact’s global marketing seminars and programs firsthand. Although I can no longer be directly involved in, oversee, or approve the materials and programs at this stage of my life, I am incredibly proud and honored by the impact and outreach these initiatives are achieving!

Martha Rogers

Rector – KBS

Martha Rogers, Rector of KBS, is an American author, customer strategist, and founding partner of Peppers & Rogers Group, a management consulting firm. Rogers is an adjunct professor at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a co-director of the Duke Center for Customer Relationship Management.

Asghar Zaidi

Global Dean – Innovation

Asghar Zaidi, Dean of KBS, attended the Government College University, Lahore (1981 to 1984), obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics (First Division). He did his Master in Economics (1985–1987) from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. In 1988, he moved to the Netherlands, where he obtained his master’s degree in Development Studies (Economic Policy and Planning) with Distinction in Thesis from the International Institute of Social Studies. He obtained his PhD Degree (1997–2004) in Economics from the University of Oxford, UK, under the guidance of Tony Atkinson.

Luiz Moutinho

Global Dean – Management

Luiz Moutinho (BA, MA, PhD, MAE, FCIM), Dean of KBS, is visiting Professor of Marketing at Suffolk Business School, Faculty of Arts, Business and Applied Social Science, Univ. of Suffolk, Ipswich, England, UK, and at The Marketing School, Portugal, and Adjunct Professor of Marketing, GSB, FBE, University of the South Pacific, Suva, Fiji. In 2020, he was elected as a member of The Academia Europaea. Prof. Moutinho has 39 books published and over 161 articles published in refereed academic journals.

Marc Opresnik

Global Dean – Academics

Marc Opresnik, Dean of KBS, holds a prestigious career that has that has profoundly impacted both academic and professional spheres globally. A global co-author with marketing legend Philip Kotler, his expertise enriches academic and professional realms alike. Dr. Opresnik’s insights have reached over 100 million people worldwide, making him a pivotal figure in shaping future business leaders. Acclaimed and recognized as a Global Digital Marketing Legend, Dr. Opresnik’s leadership at KBS is poised to usher in a new era of excellence in in business education worldwide.

Global Dean – Strategy & Research 

Serving as the Dean of KBS, V Kumar brings three decades of global experience in academia, rigorous and relevant research scholarship, and executive leadership. His extensive scholarly publications, teaching, and mentoring of scholars worldwide will help KBS students become transformational business leaders. Dr. Kumar’s leadership of KBS will help the school launch a variety of certificate and degree programs with collaboration from schools worldwide. He has also been honoured as a Legend in Marketing.

Aung Tun Thet

Dean Sustainability 

Aung Tun Thet, Dean of KBS, is a renowned academic and advisor known for his expertise in sustainable development. With a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from UMIST, UK, he has made significant contributions to economic research and policy. His career includes roles at UNICEF, where he played a key part in promoting the One-UN Initiative and supervising the UN Global Compact. Returning to Myanmar in 2008, he continued his influential work advising the government on economic policies and addressing critical issues like post-disaster response and the Rohingya crisis. Aung Tun Thet’s dedication has earned him honorary professorships and awards. 

Raja Rajamannar

Global Advisor 

Raja Rajamannar is an accomplished global marketing executive with more than 25 years of experience, the last six of which have been in the role of Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for Mastercard and President of the company’s healthcare business. Raja is consistently recognized globally as a highly innovative and transformational leader in his field. Some of this recent accolades include: Global Marketer of the Year award by the World Federation of Advertisers, top 5 “World’s Most Influential CMOs” by Forbes, top 10 “World’s Most Innovative CMOs” by Business Insider, and inductee to The CMO Club Hall of Fame.
